About us

Editorial Policy

Our editorial standards for gold IRA coverage: sourcing, independence from advertisers, no fake reviews or testimonials, how we treat risk, and how we correct mistakes.

Last updated October 30, 2026

This site helps people decide whether a gold IRA fits them, and if so, which company to use. Retirement money is at stake, so we hold ourselves to these standards.

Who writes and edits

Content is published by Lead Partner and edited by Jan Wirum, who is responsible for the accuracy of every page. We don’t publish under made-up names or invented credentials.

Facts and sources

  • Every company figure (fees, minimums, ratings, complaints, legal record) links to its source and carries the date we checked it.
  • We prefer primary sources: regulator records, court filings, IRS pages and the company’s own documents.
  • We don’t present claims from other review sites as fact.
  • When a company’s pages contradict each other, we show both figures.
  • When a company doesn’t publish something, we say “not published” rather than estimate.
  • Tax and contribution figures come from irs.gov and are updated when the IRS announces new limits.

Our full research process is on the methodology page.

Honesty about risk

Gold can fall in price for long periods, pays no interest or dividends, and costs money to hold in an IRA. We say that on every page that recommends a company. We never promise returns, describe gold as risk-free, or suggest it can’t lose value.

No fake reviews or testimonials

We don’t publish customer testimonials, made-up case studies or composite “readers”. We don’t write or buy reviews of any company. Rating figures we quote come from the BBB, the BCA and Trustpilot, with the date.

Independence and money

We earn money from two companies we cover, Goldco and Augusta Precious Metals, as explained on our affiliate disclosure. Companies don’t review, edit or approve our content before it’s published. They can’t pay to remove negative facts. Where a commercial relationship affects our ranking, we say so on the ranking page.

Language

We write for readers, not search engines. We avoid sales pressure, scare tactics about the economy, and urgency we don’t believe in.

Updates

We recheck company facts at least every 90 days, and sooner when news breaks. Each page shows the date its facts were last checked.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it. Send corrections through our contact page with a source if you have one. Significant corrections are noted at the bottom of the page they affect, with the date.

Not advice

Our content is general information. It isn’t personal financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Talk to a qualified professional about your situation.
