What information this site collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have.

This site is published by Lead Partner (“we”, “us”). This page explains what we collect when you visit, why, and what you can do about it. If you have a question, use our contact page.

The short version

  • You can read every page without giving us your name, email or phone number.
  • We don’t sell your personal information.
  • When you click a link to Goldco or Augusta Precious Metals, the link tells that company which of our pages you came from. It doesn’t carry your name or contact details.
  • If you fill in a form on a company’s own site, that company’s privacy policy applies, not ours.

What we collect

Information your browser sends. Like most sites, our hosting provider records technical details when you load a page: IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the time. We use this to run the site, keep it secure and fix errors. Our host is Vercel. Our Vercel plan is Pro with Observability Plus, and for that plan Vercel’s documentation gives runtime log retention as 30 days.

Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics, a service of our host, to count page views and clicks on our links to Goldco and Augusta Precious Metals. With a click we send two details: which company, and where on the page the link was. Vercel’s documentation lists what may be stored with each page view or click: the page address (with filtered query parameters), the referring page, your approximate location (its example gives country, region and city), your browser and operating system with their versions, your device type, and the time. Vercel says Web Analytics works without third-party cookies: it identifies a visitor by a hash created from the incoming request, and the visitor session is discarded automatically after 24 hours. Vercel says the data is recorded anonymously, without being tied to any individual or IP address, and is used for aggregated statistics only.

How you arrived. When you land on the site, we note in your browser’s session storage the address of the site that sent you (for example a search engine or our partner site) and whether the link was marked as an ad. Session storage stays on your device and is cleared when you close the tab. If you follow a link to Goldco or Augusta, that note goes with the link to our “/go/” address, which turns it into the “how you reached our site” label (see below). We use it for nothing else.

Messages you send us. If you email us, we keep your message and email address to reply and to keep a record of corrections. We keep messages and email addresses for 12 months, then delete them.

Lead forms. This site has no form that collects your contact details. Forms you see after clicking through to a company are on that company’s site.

Links to Goldco and Augusta Precious Metals pass through an address on this site that starts with “/go/”. That address sends you on to the company and adds labels that tell the company:

  • that you came from this site
  • which page you were on and where on the page the link was
  • the topic of the page
  • how you reached our site (for example, a search engine)
  • which version of the page you saw

These labels contain no personal information. The company uses them to tell us how many referred readers requested information or bought, so it can pay us. See our affiliate disclosure for which companies pay us and how.

Once you’re on the company’s site, its own privacy policy applies:

Links to the other companies we review are ordinary links with no tracking labels.

Who we share information with

  • Service providers that host and run the site, only as needed to do that.
  • Goldco and Augusta receive the non-personal link labels described above.
  • Authorities, if the law requires it.

We don’t sell or rent personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-site advertising.

Cookies

This site doesn’t set cookies.

Your choices

  • You can block cookies and clear session storage in your browser settings. The site works without them.
  • You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, through our contact page. We reply within 3 business days.
  • If you live in a US state with its own privacy law, such as California, you may have further rights under that law, including the right to know and delete information and to opt out of its sale. We don’t sell personal information.

Children

This site is meant for adults planning for retirement. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
